The food here is really good and quite cheap. The waiters are really nice. The location is perfect and there's not a lot of noise despite the restaurant being in downtown Boston.

The food is amazing we had 5 Rolls and loved them all. The service was great too! We will be back next time we are in Boston.

Excellent! A simple place, but the sushi was off the hook. We had the Spicy Red Sox, Hawaii 5-0, and the Shrimp Tempura rolls. They were all delicious.

Always fresh! Always tasty! The "Patrick roll" never disappoints! The shrimp tempura and black pear boy is also always amazing with so much flavor! My 4 year old loves the cucumber sushi.

TAKEOUT/DELIVERY REVIEW I've known about Avana since I moved to Boston 7 years ago, but really only explored it during the pandemic to satisfy my sushi cravings. We now order from them at least once a month. I honestly think Avana has the best rolls I've ever had, with a perfect ratio of rice to fish to sauce. They also do something interesting where some of the rolls have mango in it, which definitely was weird to me in the beginning, but is actually very refreshing. Prices for rolls are also pretty cheap in Boston considering the amount of fish that is in each piece, around $11-$13 for a special roll. Their sushi holds up really well with delivery and is always perfectly secured in the container so it's like its fresh from the sushi bar when I get it at home. The four rolls my partner and I always get now are Winter Maki, Super Man Maki, Black Pearl Maki, and Torch Salmon Maki.

Not a bad place and very comparable to Avana Sushi 1 (in Chinatown). Parking (like Chinatown) is difficult so it's best to do pick up or to eat in (after COVID anyways). Items ordered (prices as of 11/20) - Eel Avocado Cucumber - $5.95 : Not bad but nothing I haven't had before. - Torch Salmon (Chef's Special Maki) - $13.95: Actually surprisingly good. It's a warm (cooked) roll and the flavors mesh together pretty well. - BBQ eel (Poke Bowl) - $13.95: For the price I'd say this was acceptable. Eel was tasty and cooked well and the sauce was good. Unfortunately I wish there was more Eel as the mounds of rice it sat upon made it so that I had to portion the eel out properly so I didn't end up with a bowl full of rice and vegetables. - Salmon, Tuna & Yellowtail (Poke Bowl) - $15.95: Overall this was probably the least impactful of the previous items we ordered. There was a lot more rice compared to the fish and the fish itself wasn't really flavorful which kind of defeated the purpose of getting the bowl. In the end the quality is comparable to the original Avana Sushi. I would probably stick to the sushi as you can find better pokebowls at restaurants that specialize in them. If you live closer to this location definitely giving it a recommendation!
